Documentary411 lists grants, festivals, markets, fiscal sponsors, insurance brokers, gear, and related resources for independent documentary filmmakers. Listings are a starting point. Deadlines, fees, eligibility, and program rules change. Always verify details on the official source before you apply, submit, or spend money. Resource descriptions are written by Documentary411; they are not copied from the official program as a substitute for that program’s own terms.
No guarantees
This is focused professional information and, where you purchase it, focused professional guidance — not legal advice, a full project review, done-for-you production work, or a promise of funding, festival acceptance, distribution, press, or introductions. A consult or written answer does not guarantee financing, festival acceptance, a sale, distribution, press coverage, introductions, or a particular outcome. It is strategic guidance, not legal representation.
Cancellations and refunds (Ask a Pro)
One Question — $50. Cancel any time before your written answer has been delivered for a full refund. Once the answer is delivered, the service is complete and the purchase is final.
Professional Consult — $500. Reschedule at no charge up to 48 hours before your session. Cancel 48+ hours out for a full refund. Inside 48 hours, or for a no-show, the session is forfeited; we'll offer one rescheduled session at our discretion if availability allows. If we can't offer you a session within two weeks of purchase, you'll receive a full refund.

Acceptable use
Do not scrape the site to republish listings as your own database, submit false corrections, or use forms to spam. We may remove listings or refuse submissions that are misleading or harmful to filmmakers.
